The GT125/GT200 is the first larger-frame modern Vespa, introduced in 2003 after the success of the ET-series. The GT (or Grantourismo)  introduced the angular, bevelled body style which has been the design foundation of all modern Vespa models since.

The GT125/GT200 uses a carbureted LEADER engine installed into a larger frame. Other upgrades include 12″ wheels, 2 wheel disc brakes, and liquid cooling.

The GT125/GT200 became the starting point for both the GTS250 and recently released GTS300 Supermodels, both of which share nearly identical frames but with enhanced powerplants.
