Detailed  Itinerary

We depart Camps Bay on our Stylish Vespas along the Sea Point coastal road towards the V&A Waterfront Food Market.

At the V&A Waterfront Food Market. We will be sampling some authentically prepared African stew with Mrs. Balls chutney ( a proudly South African sauce), this African Cuisine is enjoyed by the local Xhosa and another tribesman alike being the Zulu, Malawian, Zimbabwean and other Africans. We will find a sitting area to take our time and enjoy and share this African food amongst our group.

We will also be visiting an Afrikaans Artisan Biltong Maker and be sampling some of his amazing Biltong, be sure to also try the game biltong, Kudu game being a crowd favourite. Spicy food lovers should be sure to try the Chilli Beef flavour. You might discover flavours of Coriander, Balsamic vinegar, Ground Black pepper, and Paprika. Our Afrikaans Biltong maker will run through his preparation process and what goes behind the preparation of this South African snack delicacy. You will certainly see why Biltong is arguably South Africa’s most loved snack at any given time during the week.

We depart for the cobbled streets and brightly colored houses of Bo Kaap. in the 1700s, political exiles, slaves, and convicts were sent to the Cape by the Dutch from India, Srilanka, Malaysia, and Indonesia, although not technically correct most of these people were called Cape Malay and settled in the Bo Kaap. The eastern food influence quickly took hold in the Cape.

We visit a local food merchant to sample some amazing traditional Cape Malay Koeksisters, a Koeksister is a traditional Cape Malay pastry with a  cake-like texture, finished off with a sprinkling of coconut flakes, you will discover flavours of cinnamon, aniseed, ginger, cardamom, and dried tangerine skin powder. A favorite local pastry to accompany your morning coffee.

We make a brief stop at Green Market Square one of Cape Towns liveliest and most historic public hubs, at a later stage perhaps a good place to do a little shop for gifts when you have more time.

It’s time for us to depart the Mother city.  With the mountain air filling our lungs we cruise up kloof road with Lion’s head and Table Mountain alongside us.

Leaving Camps Bay we begin to find ourselves in a  more natural setting,  cruising along stunning coastal roads with the endless Atlantic Ocean to our right and the 12 Apostles mountain cliffs towering our left side.  We pass by the breathtaking Llandudno Beach town and make our way into the Hout bay area.

We make our way towards the famous Chapmans Peak Pass where we will stop at a viewpoint and take some time to absorb the magnificent Sentinel Peak with endless views of the ever-present Atlantic Ocean.

We then head back into Hout Bay towards the ever buzzing Sunday Bay Harbour  Market in Hout Bay where will enjoy some for more food and drinks nibbles as well as some live music if we were lucky. We will immersive ourselves in some local ‘Deep South’ culture and see why Deep South local religiously love coming to Harbour Bay market every Sunday!

After  Bay Harbour Market we will take a loop back towards the City taking an alternate route back passing Kirstenbosch Botanical  Gardens. Making our way past the University of Cape Town on our left side and arriving back in Cape Town with clear views of the Table Bay Harbour, Signal Hill, Lions Head, and the Majestic Table Mountain & Devils peak. we will end the day  back at your accommodation in Camps Bay
