The Cape Peninsula 2-Day Vespa Grand Tour

Fully guided all-inclusive 2 days of ocean roads, hidden beaches, wildlife, mountain views and carefully chosen moments, experienced at the unhurried pace the Cape Peninsula deserves and on your stylish Vespa. Your guides will share their passion for this stunning area and tell you about its fascinating history, also capturing this journey in photographs for you to bring home.

Over two unforgettable days, follow the Atlantic Ocean from the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap to Camps Bay, then step off your Vespa and onto the soft white sand of Llandudno Beach. Continue through Hout Bay harbour before sweeping along the curves of Chapman’s Peak, where coffee and local treats await at a spectacular viewpoint above the ocean.

This is not a tour where you simply photograph beaches from the roadside. Walk barefoot along Noordhoek’s endless shoreline, explore Kommetjie and its lighthouse, and linger over a cold drink on the beautiful beach of Scarborough before reaching Simon’s Town for a relaxed overnight stay and a local dinner in this picturesque harbour.

The next morning begins among the penguins of Boulders Beach. Follow the boardwalk through the colony, then descend to the sheltered beach, where there is time to swim in the clear water as African penguins wander between the granite boulders.

Ride onwards to the wild landscapes of Cape Point. Climb to the lighthouse, visit the Cape of Good Hope, enjoy a picnic with ocean view and walk the Shipwreck Trail to learn how to identify tracks and the local flora and fauna on the short guided coastal hike. Keep your eyes open for elands, mountain zebras, caracals and ostriches. The return journey winds through Kalk Bay, over scenic Boyes Drive where the famous shark watchers protect the surfers of Muizenberg and into the vineyards of Constantia, the oldest vineyards of the New Wine Countries.

The final ride leads back toward the city to the colourful heart of Bo-Kaap a bit before 5 PM.
