The Famous Route 62 Loop to Montagu by Vespa
A three-day Vespa journey from Cape Town’s colourful Bo-Kaap into the Cape Winelands and onwards over dramatic mountain passes via the Klein Karoo and the small-town charm of Route 62.
Take this slow, scenic ride through some of the Western Cape’s most beautiful landscapes: historic Stellenbosch, old trading stores, celebrated farm gardens, vineyard valleys, dramatic mountain passes, roadside towns and the relaxed rhythm of Montagu.
Over three days, move from Cape Dutch architecture and refined Winelands estates to rugged passes, succulents, cactus gardens, Art Deco heritage and the open-road feeling of the Klein Karoo. The journey ends with a return to Cape Town over Du Toitskloof Pass, with one final city-and-mountain panorama from Signal Hill.
This is one of the most complete Cape Vespa escapes and you will be staying in boutique accommodation while progressing from city to vineyards to semi-desert and back again.
